John R. Edward GREENVILLE --In loving memory of John R. Edward who passed on Saturday November 29th, 2025, at Reed Hospital after a brief illness. John was born on April 2nr, 1953, in Greenville, OH, the son of Robert Reece Edwards and Donna (Richard) Meade and Dianne Edwards. John is a graduate of Greenville High School and has resided primarily in the local community throughout his life. He spent several years working at Lamberts in Ansonia and Stanley Tools in Covington, OH. John enjoyed Karate in his younger days and was a member of the Okinawan ShorinRyu Karate Dojo with a 1st degree black blet. John was also a member of the VFW in Greenville, OH. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors as much as possible. You could also find him helping at Richards Edwards Auctioneering where he always had a good time with everyone. John will be remembered for his friendly smile and helpful attitude and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers Rusty Reece Edwards and Charles Thomas (Chuck) Edwards, brother-in-law Mitch Tryon, and his bonus son Christopher Rogers. John is survived by his brother, Richard Edwards (Karen), as well as his sisters: Betty Wise (Dennis), Bonnie Leas (Robert), Jennifer Tryon, and Michelle Gasper (Todd). Nieces and nephews Crystal (Cary) Miller, Kyle (Leslie) Edwards, John Thomas, Jeremy Grice, Joshua Grice, Robert (Ellie) Leas, Tyler Leas, Mitch (Jenn) Tryon, Christian (Dave) Martinex, Kassi Frye, and Shannon (Christa) VanMeter. Including various extended family members and numerous friends. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Life will be announced later.
