NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #1 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS DARKE COUNTY, OHIO The first of two Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) public hearings will be held on in the Board Room of the Darke County Administration Building located at 520 South Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331 on TUESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2026 at 10:30 AM . The hearings will provide updates to current and future Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funding scenarios for which Darke County is eligible. General information about the CDBG Programs, including eligible activities, program requirements, and application deadlines will also be discussed. The following CDBG Programs are a sample of funding programs available to Darke County: Program Approximate Available Funds * Community Development Allocation Program (Estimated) $ 232,000 * Neighborhood Revitalization Program $ 750,000 * Critical Infrastructure Program $ 500,000 * Economic Development Loan Program $ 500,000 * Economic Development Public Infrastructure Grant Program $ 500,000 * Residential Public Infrastructure Grant Program $ 750,000 * Flexible Grants - Economic & Community Development Negotiated-Max $ 250,000 * Flexible Grants - Downtown Buildings $ 250,000 * Flexible Grants - New Horizons Fair Housing $ 50,000 * Community Housing Impact & Preservation Program $ 700,000 *Amount can vary if partnerships are established The primary purpose of the first public hearing is to inform citizens about the PY2026 Community Development Block Grant Programs and to conduct a CDIS planning session to identify needed community projects in Darke County. A Fair Housing Training will also be conducted as part of the hearing. Citizens are encouraged to attend the public hearing to provide input and ask questions regarding CDBG Programs. A second public hearing will tentatively be held on TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2026 at 10:30 AM prior to the County's submittal of any CDBG grant applications for funding to specifically review all projects that have been submitted for consideration. The Darke County Administration Building is a handicapped accessible facility.
