Terry D. Peiffer GREENVILLE -- Terry D. Peiffer, 83 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 15, 2026, at 12:03 PM at Wayne Healthcare, Greenville, Ohio. Terry was born at his family home on July 30, 1942, the son of the late Lowell and Nell V. (Lowis) Peiffer. Terry worked for United Telephone Company for 37 years; he was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Greenville Masonic Lodge # 143, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton; he was an outdoorsman who loved bow hunting, splitting wood, camping, canoeing and feeding the birds; he loved his dogs and his family and was a generous man who was well liked and a friend to many. Terry is preceded in death by his parents; his son in-law, Dave Alley; his sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Jack Richards; and his brother-in-law, Richard Henson. Terry is survived by his wife Donna (Somers) Peiffer whom he married June 8, 1963; his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Holly Peiffer; his daughter and son-in-law, Yetty and Dave Lombardo; his sister, Joyce Henson; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Services will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Alliyah Blakeley officiating. Private burial will be in Verona Cemetery, Verona, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday February 19, 2026, at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service and Scottish Rite Ring Ceremony will be held at 6:45 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society.
