Teresa C. Rasmussen FINDLAY -- Teresa Carol Rasmussen, age 66, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at Birchaven Village Home in Findlay, Ohio on March 26th, 2026. Teresa was born April 2nd, 1959 in Greenville, Ohio to Jack and Janet (Miller) Berner. She later attended Ohio Northern University where she met her loving husband of 42 years, Donald Rasmussen. After making their home in Findlay, Teresa started a long and meaningful career with Findlay City Schools as a devoted teacher for over 30 years, all the while furthering her own education and receiving her Masters degree. She had a true passion for education and found great joy in touching the lives of countless students along the way. During her years as a teacher, she also formed many lifelong friendships with her colleagues. Teresa was a warm and vibrant soul who enjoyed spending her time in many ways. She cherished raising her two sons and took great pride in being their mother. She was also a loving caretaker to the many dogs and pets who were part of her family over the years. She and her husband shared a love for travel, especially to places filled with sunshine and sandy beaches, and she treasured her visits with her children and grandchildren. Teresa found peace and happiness in tending to her garden, and great excitement in her and Don's annual attendance of the Indy 500. As an enthusiastic hockey mom, she was always her boys' biggest supporter, cheering them on in all they pursued. Above all, Teresa enjoyed connecting with people. She loved being surrounded by friends and family, and was happiest in those times spent together, no matter where or when. Teresa is survived by her husband, Don; two sons: Cullen (Erin) of Leander, Texas and Clay (Gisoo) of Los Angeles, California; four grandchildren: Atleigh, Sawyer, Riley, and Elwood "Woody"; her brother: Brad (Kim) Berner of Greenville and numerous friends. Visitation will be held from 1-3 and 5-7pm on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay and from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Friday, April 3, 2026 at First Lutheran Church, 109 East Lincoln Street, Findlay, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Friar Tucker O'Leary will officiate and interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Keeping with Teresa's love of animals, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Hancock County in her memory. Online condolences are welcomed at www.coldrencrates.com .
