BID advertisement NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Van Buren Township Trustees, 4213 Sarver Rd Greenville 45331, until 7:00 pm on May 25th for the following projects: RESURFACING (Chip/Seal/Berming) OF 1. FOLKERTH RD FROM ARCANUM BEARS MILL RD TO HARTZELL RD o 5,289' x 18' or 10,578 SY: 2. FOLKERTH RD FROM HARTZELL RD TO CULBERTSON RD. o 4,000' x 18' or 8,000 SY: In accordance with the plans and specifications now on file in the Office of the Van Buren Township Trustees. The bidding document may be reviewed and obtained at the Van Buren Township Office (937) 548-7222. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Proposals shall be complete and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes endorsed by the bidder and marked: * "BID - RESURFACING (Chip/Seal/Berming) FOLKERTH RD FROM ARCANUM BEARS MILL RD TO HARTZELL RD" And/or * "BID - RESURFACING (Chip/Seal/Berming) FOLKERTH RD FROM HARTZELL RD TO CULBERTSON RD" Bids may be submitted by mail or in person before the bid opening to the office of the Van Buren Township Trustees, 4213 Sarver Rd Greenville, Ohio 45331. The Township Trustees intend and require this project to be completed by September 15, 2025. All federal rules and requirements with respect to equal employment opportunity (EEO) shall be in force with respect to the contract, Bidders must comply with current Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Improvement in Darke County Ohio as determined by the United States Department of Labor, Wage, and Hour Division. Bidders must be prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for Appropriate work types. Each Bidder is required to furnish with the proposal, a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised code as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered. The Bid Guaranty shall be in one of the following forms. 1) A certified check, cashiers check or letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid amount, Payable to Van Buren Township 2) If the Bid guaranty is furnished in Bond form. It shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed to the State of Ohio said surety, Bidders Shall submit original and two copies of all Submitted bid materials. The Van Buren Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and/or all bids and to award the contract to the bidders or bidders who in their opinion offer the lowest and/or best proposal.
