Richard E. Dill II CENTERVILLE -- Richard E. Dill II, age 77 of Centerville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, with his family by his side. Rick was born February 4, 1948, to the late Richard and Joyce (Shields) Dill. He was a graduate of Greenville High School class of 1966, Otterbein College class of 1970 where he played baseball and the University of Dayton class of 1983 where he earned his masters in education. Rick taught English at Northmont and later became the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at the High School. He later transferred to Dublin Coffman High School where he served as Assistant Principal and later retired as Principal. Rick enjoyed coaching, golfing, traveling the world and visiting with friends. His biggest joy was his family. He loved supporting all his grandchildrens sporting events and activities. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years: Sally (Mathile) Dill, daughter and son-in-law: Tiffany and Brent Ogburn, grandchildren: Kayla, Addison and Nolan, brother: John Dill, sisters-in-law: Mary Mathile and Janice Mathile, nieces and nephews: Don and Cate (Abby, Anna, Sam & Jack), Tim and Lynn (Meg, Clair & Josh), Mike and Michelle (Lauren, Jenna, Shawn, Clayton, Katherine, Ben, & Ava), Jennifer and Pat (Nate, Mo, Andrew, Ben, Paige, Konner & Jacob), Tina (Walker & Forrest), Anthony and Stacey (Otis & Stevie), Kim and Jake (Averie, Hazel, Dallas & Lyle). He was also preceded in death by his sister: Brenda Dill and beloved brothers-in-law: Clay Mathile and Dallas Mathile. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Father Larry Hemmelgarn officiating. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
