Teddy G. Strait GREENVILLE -- Teddy "Ted" Gene Strait, age 87, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Everheart Hospice Care Center, Greenville. Ted was born on June 18, 1937 in Union City, Ohio to the late H. Forrest and Echo (Rittgers) Strait. In addition to his parents, Ted is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Melvin J. Rapp and mother-in-law, Anna M. (Lavy) Rapp. Those left to cherish Ted's memory include his loving wife, whom he married on September 14, 1958, Wilma Eileen (Rapp) Strait; sons, Scott Strait (Julie) of Greenville and David Strait (Michelle Traynor) of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Shantelle Alban (Marc) of Joshua, TX, Victoria Strait of Troy, OH, Christopher Strait (Erica Basile) of Clearwater, FL, Stephanie Strait (Tyler Pridgeon) of Bradenton, FL, Tyler Strait of Cincinnati, OH, and Alexander Strait of Cincinnati, OH; great grandchildren, Elias Alban, Echo Lucas, Kylo Lucas, and Arro Lucas. Ted graduated from the Chicago Institute of Technology. He was a proud veteran of the National Guard. Ted was an Engineer, working for American Aggregates/Martin Marietta for 40 years. Ted was a devoted member and leader at the Ansonia United Methodist Church, where he served as a lay leader, teacher, and many other positions. Ted enjoyed his shiny new cars, woodworking, gardening, yard work, and puzzles. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Ansonia United Methodist Church, 200 W. High St., Ansonia, Ohio 45303. Burial will follow the service at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville.
