Joel M. Dillon ROSEBURG, OR -- Joel Michael Dillon, 43, of Roseburg, Oregon-formerly of Greenville, Ohio-passed away on July 21, 2025. Born in Greenville on April 5, 1982, Joel was the son of John and Darlene Dillon, and brother to Rosie Fields, Jennie Dillon, and Adam Dillon. He graduated from Greenville High School in 2000 and attended the University of Toledo in Ohio. Joel had a deep love for the outdoors and a lifelong passion for living simply and in harmony with nature. He worked in carpentry and landscaping and found peace working with his hands and being in the natural world. He had a true talent for fixing things-especially vehicles and engines. He loved taking things apart, figuring out how they worked, and putting them back together better than before. Music was another part of Joel's life that brought him comfort and joy, and his guitar was never far from reach. Life wasn't always easy for Joel, but he never stopped searching for peace. His struggles did not define him-he was thoughtful, curious, and kind at heart. He will be remembered for his quiet nature, creative spirit, and the way he found meaning in the simple things. Joel will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and cared for him. A memorial service will be held on September 20th at Oakland Church of the Brethren, 8058 Horatio-Harris Creek Rd, Bradford OH, at 11am with a lunch to follow. All are welcome. "And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul." -John Muir
