Janet E. Wenning GREENVILLE -- Janet Elaine (Westfall) Wenning, 71, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday October 19, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 13, 1954 to the late Raymond E. and Barbara S. (Keltner) Westfall in Greenville, Ohio. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married David Wenning, who survives in Greenville, on December 15, 1979. To their union was born three children, Amanda Wenning of Greenville, Matthew (Cary) Wenning of Lima, and Elizabeth (Joel) Woodmansee of Kokomo, Indiana. Janet has four grandchildren: Elizabeth, Eliana, and Anthony Wenning, and Ann Woodmansee. She is also survived by her brother, David (Angie) Westfall of Greenville, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many who were privileged to call her a friend. Janet worked as a Surgical Technologist for 28 years at Wayne Healthcare before her retirement. She had a passion and talent for crafting. Janet was a proud member of the Chicks with Sticks knitting club. She put time, love, and care into making beautiful blankets, sweaters, and scarves for those she loved. You could frequently find her working on a project during her downtime while listening to rock music or watching Star Trek. Janet also loved to stamp and make handmade cards. She loved to cook, bake, and collect lighthouses. Throughout her life, she served her community by working the election polls and volunteering at her church. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday October 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Doug Klinsing officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice.
