NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING #2 PY2026 CDBG ALLOCATION AND SET-ASIDE PROGRAMS It is the intent of the Darke County Board of Commissioners to apply to the Ohio Department of Development for funding under the Community Development Block Grant Small Cities Program, a federally funded program administered by the State of Ohio. Darke County is eligible for $234,000 of PY2026 CDBG Allocation funding provided that the County meets applicable program requirements. The first of two public hearings was held on January 27, 2026 at which time the County informed communities and citizens about the various CDBG programs available, how they may be used, eligible activities, and supplemental program requirements. Applications have been received based on citizen input and local official's assessment of the County's immediate need for financial assistance. The Board of Commissioners will consider the following applications for the PY2026 CDBG Allocation and Set-Aside Programs: Allocation Projects: Applicant Activity National Objective Grant Request Village of Ansonia Storm Drainage LMI Area Benefit- $102,000.00 Improvements 61.60% Village of Hollansburg Sidewalk LMI Area Benefit- $ 86,000.00 Improvements 64.89% Competitive Set-Aside Projects: Applicant Activity National Objective Grant Program Village of Ansonia Storm Drainage LMI Area Benefit- Critical Improvements 61.60% Infrastructure Village of Arcanum Water Facility LMI Area Benefit- Critical Improvements 51.30% Infrastructure Village of Versailles Sanitary Sewer LMI Area Benefit- Critical Improvements 52.87% Infrastructure Village of Street, Sidewalk, LMI Area Benefit- Neighborhood Hollansburg Curb & Gutter 52.86% Revitalization Drainage & Park Improvements The second public hearing for the PY2026 CDBG Allocation and Set Aside Grant Programs will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 8:30 AM at the County Administration Building. This hearing is held to give communities and citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on local government applications received as listed above. The County's CDBG Application is due to the Ohio Department of Development on or before June 10th, 2026. Citizens are encouraged to attend the meeting to express their views and comment on the County's proposed CDBG application. Anyone wanting to attend this hearing, but requiring special aid or assistance, must contact the Commissioner's at (937) 547-7362 at least four (4) days prior to the date of the hearing, per ADA. 90220534 April 18 gda
