Lois F. Tomlinson GREENVILLE -- Lois Faye Tomlinson, 85 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at 1:23 PM at her residence. Lois was born July 4, 1939 in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Franklin Irvin and Gladys Ellen (Owens) Moore. Lois worked at the Brethren Retirement Community for 35 years doing various jobs. She loved doing crafts; she could easily pick up how to make anything. Some of her favorites were crocheting, ceramics, Bob Ross painting, and decorating real eggs. Lois and Joe also loved to attend their grandchildren’s many many sporting events and school activities. As a family they participated in garden tractor pulls, later it was modified mine rods for several years. In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Joe Tomlinson whom she married July 6, 1955; and her brother, Richard Moore. Lois is survived by her children and spouses, Sharon and Bud Besecker, and Tom and Karen Tomlinson; her grandchildren, Donna & Brian Farmer, Stacie, Tracy, and Tonya Tomlinson, Jason and Krista Besecker, and Ryan and Mary Besecker; 10 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; several step great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday September 16, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
