Monty P. Hamilton GREENVILLE -- Monty P. Hamilton, 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday February 7, 2026, at Wayne Healthcare. Monty was born October 2, 1950, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Lowell and Phyllis (Nordaker) Hamilton. Monty owned and operated Hamilton Motors in Greenville for over 60 years; he was a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge; Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton; the Darke County Auto Dealers Association; he loved cars, tinkering in the garage, spending time at his cottage in the Upper Peninsula and most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Monty is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents Ira and Grace Hamilton. Monty is survived by his wife Nancy (Holzapfel) Hamilton of Greenville whom he married in 1975; his children and spouses, Matt and Stephanie Hamilton of Greenville; and Kelly and Jim Otis of St. Louis, Missouri; his grandchildren, Andrew, Alyson, Abigail, and Aaron Hamilton, Katherine and James Otis; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lynn and Tennessie Hamilton of Greenville, and Randy and Marceena Hamilton of Alcoa, Tennessee; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kreg and Barbara Kohli; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Monty will be held at on Saturday February 14, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Nick Good officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic Lodge of Sorrow and a Scottish Rite Ceremony conducted at 11:45 AM on Saturday.
