Robert D. Dill HOLLANSBURG -- Robert Duane Dill, age 88, of Hollansburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Arbor Trace Assisted Living in Richmond, Indiana. He was born on December 31, 1936, in Greenville, to the late Omar and Dora (Harter) Dill. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (O'Dell) Dill; and his siblings, Leroy Dill, Don Dill, Helen Feasel, Phyllis Spencer, Harold Dill, Anna Bowen, and Lowell Dill. Bob is survived by his children, Chad (Lori) Dill of Richmond, Sean Dill of Hollansburg, and Pat (Patsy) Dill of Greenville; his grandchildren, Andrea (Shaun) Lovelette, Derek (Megan) Dill, Caton Dill, Allison (John) Masterson, Schae (Chris) Boone, Garrett Dill, and Sidney (Mason Coby) Dill; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was a graduate of Westmont High School in Hollansburg, class of 1954. After proudly serving his country in the United States Navy, Bob dedicated many years to his work at Wayne Works Bus Factory in Richmond, until his retirement, and then continued to work for Trucks and Parts for several years. He served as the mayor of Hollansburg for several terms and was the secretary for the Boy Scouts. Bob was a member of both the Palestine Church of Christ and Whitewater Christian Church, where he made countless friendships and memories. His enthusiasm for life was evident in his love for playing Dominoes and cards, going on camping adventures, and his impressive craftsmanship. He built several canoes and created many belt buckles, jewelry, and bolo ties, often incorporating locally-sourced stones into his work. A passionate traveler, Bob cherished exploring the beauty of the country, always eager to share new experiences with family and friends. A celebration of Bob's life is being planned at Whitewater Christian Church. More details will be released when available.
