Invitation to Bid Mississinawa Valley School District Playground Equipment The Mississinawa Valley Local School District is seeking sealed bids to replace the existing playground equipment on two separate playgrounds, Playground A and Playground B. All bids should include removal of existing playground structures and all installation cost of the new equipment. Alternates should have a separate price for each playground Playground A bids shall be based on the following criteria. 1. play unit in recycled plastic with 5"x5" posts and 48"X36" decks to include: 4 slides (90 degree, double 48", double 60", roller), 6 climbers (rock wall, step, ramp, half moon, bedrock, 3 section pentagon), lily pad bridge, 2 stepping pods, 5 play panels (driving, play counter, airplane, hawk, tic tac toe), 2 3 step staircase, 5 60"x60" roofs, 12' ADA access ramp, custom kitchen, 5 4x4 decks, 8'x8' deck and 48' triangle deck. 2. bubble wall climber, 16" long, 4 section 3. Retro Rocker 5' long 4. Team Swing (replacement of 2 seats in existing swing set) 5. Replacement of 10 swing seats and chains 6. 3 panel music set (bongo drums, xylophone, and tongue drums) Alternate Playground A: Please give an alternate bid for Playground A for the cost of poured in place rubber surface, 3" thick, 50/50 color/black mix in the 1/2 " thick top course, removal and disposal of current wood fiber, install and compact 8" of crushed stone, total of 5360 square feet. Playground B bids shall be based on the following criteria. 1. Play unit in recycled plastic with 5"x5" posts and 48"x38" decks to include, 4 slides (spiral, wave 2 chute slides), 6 climbers (web, coil, zipper, 2 rock wall), 2 bridges (challenge and lilly pad), 9 stepping pods, 2 play panels(hawk and activity), 5 60"x60" roofs, 2 hand over hand ladders (zig zag tri rung, over under), ada transfer station, climbing wall bubble trek, 2 balance (zig zag straight), 2 bars (chinning, gym), 2 staircases (5 step, 4 step) 2. Tetra Dome Climber 19' wide by 70" high 3. Team Swing (replace 2 seats in the existing swing set 4. Replace 10 swing seats and chairs 5. Soccer Goal set 12' wide by 6' high 6. GAGA Pit 24' across 7. 2 basketball sets (first team force endura, adjustable height 5'-6' to 10', 36x60 aluminum backboard, 6" square post, unbreakable double rim, Lifetime warranty, 2 basketball post pads Alternate Playground B: Poured in place rubber surfacing for play area, 3 1/2" thick, 50/50 color/black mix in the ½" thick top course, remove and dispose of all wood fiber, install and compact 8" of crushed stone, total of 4455 sq feet. Work to be completed during the summer of 2025 and completed before August 20, 2025. Bids submitted by mail must be certified or registered with return receipt requested and properly sealed and clearly marked on the outside with the statement: Mississinawa Valley Playground, 1469 St Rt 47, Union City, Ohio 45390. Bids will also be accepted via email (preferred) or in person until 1:00 P.M. on February 21, 2025, please email bids to the Treasurer, Nick_hamilton@mississinawa.org Any bids received after the above appointed date and time will not be accepted. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award the contract for the Work to the bidder who is determined to be responsible and who submits the lowest responsive bid in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 9.312, taking into consideration accepted alternates, if any.
