Wilma F. Murphy GREENVILLE -- Wilma Faye Murphy, age 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 9, 1941, in West Virginia, Wilma lived a life centered on faith, family, and quiet strength. On December 14, 1963, she married the love of her life, Eddie Gene Murphy, and together they shared a beautiful marriage built on devotion and enduring love. Wilma retired from AAA in Greenville, Ohio, after 40 years of dedicated service. During her career, she not only assisted others with their travel needs but also planned and coordinated motor coach tourswork she truly enjoyed. She shared her passion for travel with her family. She loved gardening, especially tending to her flowers, and found peace and joy in nurturing beauty all around her. Wilma also had a beautiful singing voice, and her family will forever remember the comfort and joy of hearing her sing. Most of all, Wilma loved and supported her family wholeheartedly. She enjoyed attending her grandchildrens sporting events and 4-H livestock shows, always their biggest fan and proudest supporter. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Mark and Christal (Stark) Murphy of Piqua, Todd and Beth (Middleton) Murphy of Union City, Chris and Angela (Molitor) Murphy of Fayetteville. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Alexander and Lydia (Dangel) Murphy, Clayton and Ari (Washington) Murphy, Madelynn (Murphy) and Connor Carey, Wesley and Gabriela (Lamberti) Murphy, Samantha Murphy, Olivia (Murphy) and Logan Ressler, Cecilia Murphy, Christopher Murphy II, Anne Murphy, and Christina Murphy, as well as seven great-grandchildren. Additional surviving family includes her sister, Violet Vi Kwapich (Gene) of Toledo, Robert Bob Moore of Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gene Murphy, her parents Eva Fitzwater Moore Elsass and Leslie Ellis Moore and her brother Tilden Moore. Wilma will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family created a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A funeral service will be held at 10 :00 am Friday, June 27, 2025, at Community of Faith 383 Eidson Rd. Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Alex Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Teegarden Cemetery, Ansonia, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Wilmas life.
