Gloria D. Miller ARCANUM -- Gloria Diane Miller (Allread), age 57 years, of Arcanum, Ohio passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on November 18th, 2024. Diane was born on April 11th, 1967 in Greenville, Ohio to the late William (Bill) and Patricia (McCoy) Allread. She grew up in Darke County and graduated from Franklin-Monroe High School in 1985. She and husband, Bradley (Brad) Miller, were high school sweethearts and they wed on September 5th, 1987. The pair decided to stay in the county to raise their two daughters, Ericka and Emily (as well as their many pets over the years), who are their pride and joy. Diane is survived by her loving husband as well as her daughters, Ericka Miller and Emily Langner (Miller), son-in-law Andrew Langner, her siblings, Gary Allread and Linda Glover, and many other cherished family members. Diane was the proud Grandma to her lovely granddaughter Liesel Langner. Diane's love for Liesel was overflowing and the relationship they got to have was filled with unconditional love, silliness, and pure joy. Diane is preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Norma Miller. Diane was a member of the Arcanum Library Board and involved in the Arcanum Criterion Club. She worked as a home loan processor and formed close bonds with her coworkers. She had a green thumb and was known to tenderly care for her flower and vegetable gardens. Nature was one of Diane's great passions, with sunflowers and bees holding special meaning for her. She felt peace and comfort in being outdoors and found beauty in everything around her. She loved taking bike rides on her beach cruiser and soaking in the warmth of sunshine. Horseback riding, hiking, walking in the grass barefoot, and rocking on the front porch were all important parts of what made her who she was. Diane loved to travel and was always dreaming about where to experience next. She was an avid reader and could be found with her nose in a book and curled up with her cat, Cheerio, when she had the chance. Diane was also quite the collector! Her grandmother collected salt and pepper shakers, which Diane eventually inherited and was glad to expand. Diane found great joy in her collection of Pez Dispensers and was thrilled to show them to anyone who would take a look. Diane always had a positive outlook and her laugh could make any situation brighter. Her light was so bright and touched all she interacted with. She was quick to serve others in need, slow to anger, never judgmental, and always led in love. Diane was a sweet and adventurous woman and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. You can be sure to find and remember her when you hear wind chimes, see a bee pollinating, wear the color blue, or watch the Sound of Music. There is a celebration of life scheduled for Diane on December 7, 2024 1 PM-2 PM with a service to follow at 2 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to The Arbor Day Foundation in Diane Millers memory. Please consider sharing your condolences and happy memories with the Miller family at www.zecharbailey.com .
