Scott A. Monnin RUSSIA -- Scott A. Monnin, age 58, of Russia, Ohio died Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy Ohio, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 20, 1967 in Sidney, Ohio to Lyndon “Lindy” & Betty (Cooper) Monnin and they survive in Russia. He is also survived by children: Kayli (Will) Buettner, Delphos and their son Lane, and Bryce (Hunter) Dues, Sidney, and their children Parker & Sophia; brother Terry (Stefanie) Monnin, Versailles, and nieces and nephew Madison, Lauren & Drew, and his dog Simon II. He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia CWV, Russia Fire Department and was a qualified HAZMAT technician. He was a graduate of Russia High School and worked as a Tool & Die Maker. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, cruising in his 2008 Shelby Cobra, attending car shows, cooking, taking care of his flowers, and spending time with family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. Burial will follow at St. Remy Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Russia from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, June 30, 2025 and from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday.
